This is the second show of a trilogy that John Romão dedicates to Pasolini in 2015, remarking the 40 years of his death.HINGHAM - The Town of Hingham and Director of Assessing Erin Walsh would like to inform residents of a property inspection program beginning this month. The relationships between them are about tension, domination and submission and carried by and erotic and sacred ambience, well known by Pasolini. TEOREMA is inspired by a fundamental piece of European cinema, the film (and text) namesake by Pier Paolo Pasolini, so as a reflection on the staging of the author's death.įollowing the steps of Pasolini, who exalted the popular sense of the sacred with figures from the people, often marginals from urban or rural subproletariat, today John Romão carries to the stage a group of performers that also belong to the street, but in a contemporary context: young skateboarders, other kind of "ragazzi di vita", vehicles that promote the encounter with the sacred in their own body. With 12 skateboarders and 1 accordionist on stage that plays the "Et exspecto" by the contemporary composer Sofia Gubaidulina (known as the creator of Poor Music), John Romão creates a show where the word is supplanted by a visual and sound enigmatic and iconographic experience, elegiac and apocalyptic. To declare an object as an enigma where the sacred is in imminent explosion is to draw attention to their uniqueness and mystery of its reason of being. The fall of the sense of the sacred in contemporary times inaugurates the searching for new relationships with the real.
